MORLOCK
BUILDING COLLECTIVE

The Chapel

Click on any of the pictures bellow and then follow the arrows for a tour of our latest completed conversion, a redundant methodist chapel.

We located the building for our client and undertook all the building works with the trade skills available within the collective. It is grade II listed building and needed great sensitivty to accomplish a stylish modern conversion within the planning laws and building regulations.

For the kitchen Morlock sourced and transformed a period interior of a local shop which was closing down. The alter, pews and original floor from this methodist chapel were reclaimed and restored at the Morlock Joinery Workshop. The design and works combined to give a stunning balance of contemporary highlights with the utility of the traditional period chapel pieces.

Client Comment:

"I have always felt that Morlock Building Collective have worked with me rather than for me and have the home to show that the collaboration has been effective."
